Report from eRImote Expert Group I

INPA led the first of five eRImote Expert Groups dedicated to address specific topics concerning Remote and Virtual Access and discuss related challenges and best practices.

INPA Expert Group I was focused on Quality Assurance and User Experience in Remote and Virtual Access.

As a result of the four meetings help by the Expert Group, gathering on average 15 participants with experience in providing and utilising Remote Access (i.e. research infrastructures provider of Remote and Virtual Access, researchers, technicians and IT experts), INPA realised a Report on Quality Assurance and User Experience on Remote and Virtual Access.

The Report summarises the challenges experienced in offering and using Remote and Virtual Access, and the solutions and best practices applied to overcome such difficulties. The Report also includes proposals of possible future solutions for current challenges still present at the moment, which involve for instance stronger cybersecurity measures and increased international cooperation on sample shipping.

We encourage to read and share the report which may be useful for VA providers who are developing their Remote and Virtual Access offering and users who do not have previous experience on Remote Access.
